London based Director Alex Soskin has directed numerous award winning short films and music videos in his career to date. His most prestigious award came in 2001, when he picked up the Nike Young Director's Award for his short film 'Tunnel Vision.' The short, which was shot entirely on location in the London Underground, used the same special effects team that worked on 'Gladiator.' Alex's background is as an editor, in which capacity he has worked on numerous short films, music videos and commercials. Alex also worked on the Oscar nominated Sexy Beast, directed by Jonathan Glazer.
Some of Alex's most recent music promo credits include 'Sweet Harmony' (remix) by Vincent Stormfield, and the UK smash hit 'The Way You Are' by Milky.
Rob Weston is one of the UK’s most exciting young film Producers.
His early credits include Assistant Producing the fantasy pilots of ‘Tales From Middle Earth’ and ‘Demon Hunters’ for producer Simon Rush of MGM and director Bob Keen (‘Hellraiser’, ‘Dog Soldiers’), as well as Producer’s Representative on Ash Baron Cohen’s ‘This Girl’s Life’ starring James Woods. His burgeoning talents were soon spotted by Former VP of 20th Century Fox Tim Hampton (‘Aliens’, ‘Lost in Space’, ‘Chariots of Fire’), who soon became Rob’s mentor figure.
In 2001 Rob set up his own production company, Straightwire Films Ltd. On inception, Straightwire were focused primarily on the hugely competitive music promo sector, and it was not long before they developed into one of the UK’s most prolific music promo companies.
Straightwire would go on to pick up various awards and accolades, and exclusively represented some of the world’s most talented directors, including 3 time ‘music video director of the year’ Mike Brady.
Concurrently, Straightwire were Developing a roster of international feature films, working with a talented pool of established and up and coming writers. This culminated in 2008 with the production of ‘Gnaw’.
Future projects include ‘Stag’ a thriller, which sees Rob re-team with writer of ‘Gnaw’ Michael Bell, and the fantasy horror ‘Love Motel’ where Rob will produce alongside acclaimed Executive Producer Pierre David (‘Scanners’, ‘Videodrome’, ‘Internal Affairs’).
Award winning writer, director and producer Chee Keong Cheung has produced and directed many short films, plus several documentaries and music videos.
Chee's career to date has been followed closely by the media, including articles in The Times, The Guardian, The Evening Post, and the Financial Mail on Sunday. He has also received commendations from established UK film magazine 'Empire', as well as a fly on the wall documentary which was screened on Sky.
Chee's documentary work is also recognised internationally, having filmed in Finland, France, Ireland and Norway.
Stuart Gosling is a Director/Cameraman based in London, England. He has directed over 100 music videos with budgets as high as $1.4m. Stuart's work covers all music genres (rock, pop, R&B, dance) for bands and artists including The Backstreet Boys, Westlife, Seal, Jakarta, Feeder, Utah Saints and Tom Jones.
He is currently ranked as the number three director in the UK promo production charts, and his last dance video (Las Ketchup) has been number one across Europe. In addition to directing, Stuart DOPs all his own work. His directing and DOP work also includes commercials, documentaries and feature films.
